Abstract

The paper reports extragenital growth in the ventrolateral aspect of the abdomen just above the posterior abdominal mammary gland in a 4-year-old female mongrel dog with transmissible venereal tumour in the vulva. The tumour might have been transplanted naturally due to licking of the lesion and then spreading to the abdominal region by scratching and licking. Histopathological examination of the section revealed TVT. Surgical excision of the extragenital growth and treatment with vincristin sulphate lead to complete cure.
