Severe angular limb deformities with closed physes of radius and ulna in growing dogs were treated by wedge osteotomy with Dynamic compression plate (DCP)/and circular external fixator (CEF). The techniques of wedge osteotomy plating/circular external fixator were equally effective to correct severe angular limb deformities. In both techniques the reduction and fixation of osteotomized fragments were good, and the correction was optimum with comparable cosmetic appearance. CEF had the advantage of positioning of osteotomized fragments even postoperatively, hence was more suitable to correct limb deformities in dogs.
