Gastroscopy of 60 clinically healthy dogs was performed using esogastrointestinal fiberscope and the appearance such as colour of mucous membrane, presence of erythema, erosion and sub mucosal blood vessels on gastric wall were evaluated. The stomach was partially collapsed in small and medium sized dogs while it was completely collapsed in large dogs. The angulus was found as an important landmark for differentiating body of stomach from antrum. The colour of wall of stomach was found red (28 cases) to reddish orange (26 cases) and in few cases it was pink (5 cases) to pinkish red (one case). None of the cases showed erythema, erosion or sub mucosal blood vessels on gastric wall. The distance of gastroesophageal sphincter, angulus and pylorus from upper incisors was measured in small, medium and large size dogs.
