The study was carried out to evaluate the clinical, haematobiochemical, radiographic, ultrasonographic and intraoperative findings in 5 dogs suffering from linear foreign body along with intussusception. The important clinical signs observed were vomiting, anorexia, bloody stools, congested mucous membrane and dehydration. Leucocytosis, hypoproteinemia, hypoalbuminemia, hypokalemia, hyperlactatemia and elevated LDH values were the major haematobiochemical changes recorded. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic structure within the intussusception with prominent distal acoustic shadow. In three out of five dogs intestinal pleating was seen. In all the dogs intussusception was jejunal which could be reduced manually. Two animals were euthanized due to multiple intestinal perforations and spillage of intestinal contents.
