Abstract

The instrumentation and technique for indigenously designed and developed intramedullary interlocking nailing system for large animal long bone fracture repair is described. Solid and straight interlocking nails with predrilled holes are used for humerus, femur and tibial fracture repair. Open reduction and static interlocking nailing along with ancillary fixation devices like lag screw and full cerclage wiring provided stable fracture stability and resulted in early recovery.
