A retrospective study was conducted to determine the incidence of long bone fractures in dogs presented at Small Animal Clinics, GADVASU, Ludhiana during a 22-month period (from 1st July 2013 to 30th April 2015). The case records and radiographs of all the dogs presented during the period were screened. In the study, it was found that the incidence of long bone fractures was highest in femur followed by radius-ulna, tibia/fibula and humerus. The most common types of fracture were transverse and oblique and maximum number of long bone fractures was seen in the diaphyseal part of the bone.
