Abstract

A retrospective study was conducted in Gopunarvas Kendra, Hingonia, Jaipur for a period of one year (2015) to observe the impact of polythene bag usage in cattle health. During the study period, 63 elective rumenotomies were performed. The average quantity of foreign bodies collected from the rumen of HF cross, Gir, Jersey, non-descript (red) and non-descript (grey) cattle were 37.76 kg, 7.5 kg, 34 kg, 34.47 kg and 13.5 kg, respectively.
