The present study was conducted on 38 dogs (23 female and 15 male) presented for treatment of different tumours in dogs. Skin tumours were maximum (34.97%), followed by mammary tumours (36.84), transmissible venereal tumours (13.84%) and testicular tumours (7.89%). All the cases were treated by surgical excision; skin (15 cases) and mammary tumours (14 cases) underwent en-block resection, testicular tumours (3 cases) were removed by open method of castration, submucosal resection of the transmissible venereal tumours was followed in 5 cases, and one case of eyeball tumour was treated by extirpation of the eyeball. 32 cases recovered completely after surgical treatment. Recurrence was noticed in one case of skin tumour after 2 months of surgical excision. Transmissible venereal tumours in 4 cases recurred at the same site 1 month following surgical excision, which were then treated successfully by vincristine chemotherapy.
