Laparoscopic anterior gastric surface serosa to serosa plication along with ovariectomy was done in 8 female dogs under butorphanol sedation and propofol anaesthesia maintained with isoflurane (2.5%). There was reduced intake of food and reduction in body weight for a short period up to day 15; however, the food intake and body weight regained in subsequent intervals. The procedure in itself did not cause any adverse effect on the patients undergoing the surgical procedure.
