A clinical study was conducted to determine the incidence of developmental orthopaedic diseases in dogs presented during a 12-month period (from May 2015 to April 2016). The case records and radiographs of all the dogs presented during this period were screened. It was found that the incidence of developmental orthopaedic diseases was higher in males. The most common condition was hip dysplasia, followed by patellar luxations. Other disease conditions diagnosed included rickets, elbow dysplasia, panosteitis, hypertrophic osteodystrophy and developmental angular limb deformities.
