The present study was carried out to evaluate the treatment of 57 various appendicular joint affections in 46 clinical cases of bovines. The animals diagnosed with the appendicular joint affection were treated conservatively as per the case, which included rest with pressure bandage and joint immobilization, therapeutic exercise, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug administration, corticosteroid administration, antimicrobial administration, joint drainage and lavage, joint debridement, closed/open reduction of dislocated joint, etc. The evaluation of treatment outcome was done on the basis of clinical improvement in the condition of the animal viz., change in lameness grade, joint swelling, pain on palpation or manipulation of joint, general health condition of animal, feed intake, and animal production/ performance. Different appendicular joint affections had variable response to conservative treatment, however, in chronic inflammatory limb joint conditions, the outcome was poor.
