Abstract

The study was conducted in Kharif seasons of2024 and 2025 at farmer's field, Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India to evaluate the effect of variable doses of herbicides using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) growth, energy utilisation, economics and weed dynamics. The pre-emergence application (PE) of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl 15 g/ha followed by (fb) post-emergence application (PoE) of triafamone + ethoxysulfuron 66.5 g/ha has recorded higher number of effective tillers, dry matter accumulation, grain yield and straw yield of transplanted rice along with higher energy use efficiency, energy productivity, higher gross returns, net returns and benefit-cost ratio (2.00). It was statistically equivalent to pyrazosulfuron-ethyl 15 g/ha PE fb bispyribac-sodium 25 g/ha PoE applied using UAV.
