Hindi education has become a common part of the secondary school curriculum in South Africa. Although it's a learnt subject by many ethnicities in South Africa, the language faces problems because of teaching and learner approaches to the subject. Study aids are helpful, and are used in all places where this language, like other foreign languages, is studied; however, student-teacher knowledge differences exist and vary amongst race groups. This means that although much has been done to preserve and disseminate this language, vast differences in understanding it still exists in populations. Over the last 50 years and more, the manner in which Hindi learner education was disseminated amongst people was unique and this is the same method that's used now. In this paper, the question “Is Hindi education in South Africa satisfactory?” will be dealt with. Further questions will be asked to try understanding Hindi education in South Africa more promptly.
