Recent advances in wideband technology low power communication enabled ultra wide band (UWB) as a leading technology for medical applications. This paper gives a brief review of UWB in medical field. The paper outlines the prominent techniques used till date in breast cancer detection. Finally a brief assessment of future trends for the UWB technique is shown.
