PVA/carbon black composites with different compositions were synthesized using a simple method. Dielectric properties of the synthesized samples was studied using impedance spectroscopy over a frequency range. The electric response of the material was studied and it has been found that the dielectric permittivity and conductivity of the material increases with the increase in filler content. Mechanical hardness of the prepared samples was tested and the hardness is found to be increased up to 33% as the concentration of carbon black is increased to 5wt%.
