We have to think over both teaching and learning separately. The present study deals with the holistic approach of learning with especially designed rubrics in media education. The current study examines the present status of the university education and allied gaps. It also tries to find out the way through which we can improve our media education at university level. Through observation and survey the research tries to find out the gap between the teacher and learner and the need of reform. The study exposes the lack of belongingness with courses among the students. It requires the change in the whole curriculum. The study endorses the need of activity-based learning with rubric system. Through this research paper, it is recommended that in spite of teacher–learner approach, we have to adopt learner–learner approach in our university learning system.
