The Himalayan region of India includes all natural resources and heritage and is known for its sociocultural diversity and biodiversity. But unfortunately, the majority of the Himalayan region people are not well aware about it because of disconnection and lack of community communication tools. This paper reveals the sociocultural and health status of the Buksa tribes of the Himalayan region. The paper examines the health challenges of the regions with regard to their access to communication tools. Through this paper, the researcher also wanted to study that how community radio station (CRS) works as a health awareness tool among the Buksa tribal community. Government of India is encouraging communities to establish CRSs in their area for not only to get awareness but also to give cognisance to others. Through this paper, it is recommended that people representatives should encourage community to establish CRS in their area. Government and community people should motivate the individuals to learn about health through activities of CRS and give their voice for development of the area.
