This paper focuses on the potential impact of Nanotechnology in the medical sciences mainly in the field of cancer detection and treatment. This technology has offered excellent possibilities of the diagnosis and drug delivery for various cancers causing minimum side effects to the healthy cells. The uniqueness of nanoparticles lies in their specific pharmacokinetics which provides basis for their operations on cancerous cells. The physiography of nanoparticles make them tractable and submissive to be used in medical treatments and hence the field of nanomedicine has excitingly revolutionized in cancer detection and prevention.
