Abstract

The Proposed antenna is designed for satellite communication. The antenna works in Ku band (12–18GHz). The antenna has dual band characteristic. As the frequency is increases the length and width of antenna decreases. The graph between S11 and Frequency show two frequency 14.55GHz and 15.64GHz having return loss-30.76dB and-42.7601dB. The bandwidth is 2.94GHz. The design has been made on low cost material of FR4 substrate having dielectric constant of 4.4 with thickness of 1.6mm. The proposed scheme and probe feeding technique provide designed antenna to operate in two different frequencies range in Ku band. Designing and simulation of this antenna has been done by Hfss software. In this paper different types of antenna characteristics have been studied.
