Abstract

With the increasing demand of vehicular networks based data, many of the highly developed motor vehicles want to access data services through roadside units or cloud-based assistants. Research on access of data from roadside units has been introduced numerously in many kind of literature. It has been seen that communication with RSU's takes more congestion and delay over the network hence some Cloud based assistance is needed to maintain the network efficiency. In this paper, a vehicle to RSA (Dynamic Cloud) communication is used to access the data. Dynamic Cloud treated as a moving storage, vehicles are moving which gets updated as soon as some data is received and cleared once a vehicle is out of range. We propose a scheduling algorithm to download a data from RSA using Dynamic Cloud. That serves multiple requests, according to the priority set to the data. Proposed scheduling algorithm performs efficient delivery of requested data via RSA. Simulation results and a comparative study show that priority factor increases about 83%, bandwidth consumption is less and energy utilization is less at 350 numbers of services than the previous work. Through these results we can say that proposed method can provide an enviable performance and higher quality of service.
