Energy demands are increasing consistency because of the use of fossil fuel the energy causing global warming. Biomass is a renewable energy source and easily available so that several analysis and investigation is going on this area. Several biomass gasifier models are proposed to understand the complex process in a gasifier and prediction of output. Researchers have developed thermodynamic models, kinetic models, ANN and ASPEN plus models. This paper introduces analysis of, thermodynamic model and kinetic models of gasifier. It can be observed that the basic thermodynamic models are based on the energy balance, mass balance and not so accurate to predict the syngas. Thermodynamic equilibriummodel is independent of the biomass gasifier design. Kinetic models are more aureate and it includes the rate of the heterogeneous and homogenous reaction take place in the gasification process rate.
