Undoubtedly 8th November 2016 has become a date which will be there forever in every Indian citizen's mind. People might forget their relative's birthday but they will not forget this date so easily. This is the date on which respected Prime Minister of India has taken a remarkable step for eroding the corruption out the country. He has announced things, which has shown a different roadmap to Indian citizens which will lead them to a different India. This day has given birth to a term called “demonetization” for all Indians. Although the term is not new, but it was new for the people who have nothing to do with the finance and banking. Through this paper, we tried to evaluate the pre- and post effect of demonetization. The study focuses on finding out the perception of customers towards demonetization and changes in their banking habits. The study was done in the selected areas of Jaipur city with the help of a structured questionnaire.
