Abstract

The present paper deals with the magnetic analysis of In0.96Fe0.04O: Hnano-specimen. The X-ray diffract meter (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) measurements affirm that the Fe ions are finely amalgamated into the lattice, replacing the In3+ ions. The magnetisation measurements show that the host Indium oxide (In2O3) has a diamagnetic characteristic, whereas it illustrates feeble ferromagnetism upon Fe doping. The ferromagnetic demeanour is embellished by hydrogenation as well as vacuum sintering and rebounds upon re-sintering the specimen in air. The findings also deduce that oxygen vacancy concentrations in the In2O3 lattice are responsible for inducing robust ferromagnetism.
