Model Development for Positive and Negative Affect on Mental Health amongst Youth:An ICT Approach

Abstract

ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is the key stone to learning, which rests upon behavioural and psychological phenomenon. The paper focused on ICT-based learning process and psychometric testing to discover the ICT applications and role in the discipline of psychology. In this paper, an electronic environmenthas been developed which supports activities of epsychology. A psycho-cognitive profile is generated to investigate the correlation of mental health with character strengths in youth. Results in general indicate that mental health is significantly correlated to open mindedness, authenticity, prudence and love out of 24 character strengths, and a model is developed to see the positive and negative effect on mental health. The study implies that specific character strengths may be used to enhance mental health in general amongst youth.
