Abstract

Efficacy of ‘Bufzone’ a product containing ideal ruminal buffers alongwith metabolic boosters and yeast, was evaluated in 20 clinical cases of rumen acidosis in cows on the basis of assessment of rumen and clinical profiles. The investigation revealed that ‘Bufzone’ with supportive therapy (Fluid and oxytetracycline) and parenteral sodium bicarbonate showed promise in the management of rumen acidosis in cows. All the clinical and rumen indices improved and restored nearly to normal within 5 days.
