A total of 55 CVM samples, collected from cycling postpartum buffaloes having apparently unhealthy vaginal discharge, were screened for bacterial isolates. Out of 55 CVM samples screened, 30.00 (55.55%) samples had bacterial growth, whereas 25.00 (45.45%) samples did not yield any bacterial culture. Among the CVM samples (n=30) found positive for bacterial growth, the single and mixed types of bacterial isolates were found in 27(90.00%) and 3(10.00%) CVM samples, respectively. Among the 27 single isolates, frequency of Staphylococcus spp. was found to be maximum of 37.03 per cent followed by E. coli (18.51%), Bacillus spp. (14.81%), Proteus spp. (11.11%), Streptococci spp. (11.11%), Pseudomonas spp. (3.70%) and Salmonella spp. (3.70%).
