Intestinal Intussusception in a Cow and its Surgical Correction

Abstract

Six year old of non-pregnant cow with history of abdominal pain, anorexic and complete cessation of defecation was supposed a case of intussusception and right flank laparotomy was done to resect the intestine. Hemato-biochemical parameter shows slight increased hematocrit and total protein value and hypochloremia, hyponatremia and hypocalcemia. The surgery was successful without any complication by the voiding of foul odour defecation within three hours.
