The paper deals with burns in twenty one Hallikar cattle due to fire accident and their therapeutic management. All the animals were treated with antibacterials, NSAIDs, antihistamics, tonics, SAID, RL or DNS or Dextrose 5% and cleaning of wounds with potassium permanganate solution, then with iodine solution and dressing with boric acid, sulphur powder and white petroleum jelly or glycerin paste was performed for 20–25 days. Among twenty one animals, nineteen recovered where as two bullocks having second degree burn died due to hypovolemic shock and contused wound on the thoracic region.
