Abstract

A successfully treated case of toad poisoning in a Pomeranian dog is reported. Clinical manifestations included vomiting, sialorrhoea, diarrhea, frothing at mouth, uneasiness, to and fro movements, tachycardia with ventricular escape complex. Emergency treatment with propranolol, phenytoin, metoclopramide and ranitidine yielded satisfactory results.
