A case of buffalo calf suffering from tetanus was presented for treatment. The calf was diagnosed to be suffering from tetanus based on clear cut symptoms of high fever, twitching of muscle and stiffness of legs which progressed to the entire body. Gram's staining of fresh smear from the site revealed positive rods of Clostridium tetani which appeared like drum stick. The calf was treated with high doses of penicillin G, anti tetanus serum, triflupromazine, meloxicam, fluids and electrolyte therapy. The calf recovered fully after treatment for a week.
