Six crossbred cows affected with teat fistula were subjected to clinical examination of the wound and nature of milk flow. Milk collected from the affected quarter was analysed for its colour, pH and presence of mastitis. Surgical correction of the fitulous tract was performed under sedation and local analgesia and the effect of use of prosthetic tubes made up of modified polyvinyl chloride for maintaining the patency of lumen of teat following surgery was studied and reported.
