Abstract

Screening of ninety Mehsana buffaloes in an organized farm was carried out to detect presence of metallic foreign body in rumen and reticulum by ferroskopy. Ferroskopy revealed fourteen (15.55%) buffaloes were positive for metallic foreign body at reticular level, out of which seven buffaloes (7.77%) were showing clinical signs and were under taken for rumenotomy. All the seven buffaloes recovered successfully within 15–20 days after rumenotomy.
