Abstract

Fusion of the eyelids along the lid margins is called Ankyloblepharon. A two days old female calf of Bachhaur breed was reported with the congenital abnormality of bilateral Ankyloblepharon. Auriculo-palpebral nerve block was done performed to achieve analgesia of eyelids. Palpebral fissure was prepared for aseptic surgery using a diluted povidone iodine solution and corrected surgically. After post-operative care, the calf attained normal vision and made an uneventful recovery.
