Abstract

Calf diarrhea is one of the most important reasons for the neonatal calf mortality. The present study was designed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of three different antibiotic combinations i.e. Sulphadiazine-Trimethoprim, Ciprofloxacin-Tinidazole and Norfloxacin-Tinidazole in treatment of calf diarrhea. The study was conducted on twenty four diarrheic calves of either sex upto six months of age, with the history of loose feces from 3–5 days. In the present study, all the three antibiotics were found to be equally effective against calf diarrhea.
