A jersey cross bull was presented with hard bony swelling below the left mandible with open wound. The case was diagnosed as Actinomycosis based of microscopic findings. The animal was treated with Potassium iodide 8 gm orally daily for eight days. The bull didn't responded to the treatment and hence Inj. Sodium Iodide @ 30 gms was administered intravenously twice at an interval of eight days along with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and B-complex Vitamins. The bull responded to the treatment and recovered completely after one month of treatment.
