Abstract

A Dachshund bitch was reported suffering from inguinal hysterocele and epiplocele. Diagnosis was made on the basis of history, clinical examination and ultrasonography. Surgical correction of hernia with ovario-hysterectomy. A mid-ventral skin incision was put and kelotomy was necessary for ovario-hysterectomy. Horizontal interrupted mattress sutures and simple continuous suture provided proper security. The bitch recovered uneventfully.
