A case of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency was diagnosed in an adult male Doberman. Based on history of marked weight loss despite good appetite; normal radiographs and sonogram; no evidence of congestive heart failure; presence of fat droplets and absence of trypsin and amylase in faeces, a presumptive diagnosis of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency was arrived at. The dog responded well to ranitidine, enzyme pancreatin, metronidazole, folic acid, mecobalamin, Vitamin K and Vitamin E.
