Abstract

A male sloth bear (Melursus ursinus) was reported suffering from chronic lameness along with swelling over first nail of right fore limb. On clinical examination, a over growth of nail puncturing the tissue was observed. The over grown nail was cut and granulation tissue was surgically debrided. Animal successfully recovered after one week.
