Abstract

A buffalo heifer was reported with dragging the tip of hoof and difficulties in walking. The anamnesis and local palpation associated with clinical signs confirmed upward patellar fixation. The surgical correction was undertaken after securing and aseptic precautions. The medial ligament was cut with a curved knife at the depression site. After the mediopattaler desmotomy animal stood up and started walking without showing any lameness.
