Olecranon bursitis of varied forms is a common finding in working bullocks and require different therapeutic approaches. Forty two cases of olecranon bursitis were presented in adult bullocks (24 Khillar, 15 Hallikar and 3 Non descript) of which eight had bilateral bursitis. Eighteen cases of acute cystic bursitis responded to treatment by aspiration of their contents and intrabursal injection of Gentamicin and Prednisolone. Five cases of purulent bursitis were treated by lancing of abscess, draining of pus and tincture iodine seton insertion. Remaining nineteen cases of chronic olecranon bursitis with different forms (cystic but recurrent, proliferative and fibrous) were treated surgically by enbloc resection. Surgical treatment was successful and effective for treatment of olecranon bursitis particularly for recurrent cystic, proliferative and fibrous form in bullocks.
