A crossbred cow aged 6 years with a swelling on the hock joint. The fluid from swelling was blackish in color due to inflammatory fluid with blood. The etiological factor could be repeated brushing of the joint while lying on the hard concrete floor. Streptopenicillin and Meloxicam was injected IM/day for 5 days. The swelling reduced but it got shifted from right leg to left leg. Same protocol was followed on the left leg also. The animal got cured and there was no recurrence of the swelling.
