A racing bullock with metadiaphyseal fracture of humerus on its right shoulder during racing was reported. On palpation, there was no symptoms of fracture while radiograph confirmed hairline fracture at the metadiaphyseal region of humerus. The young bullock was successfully treated with oral calcium in combination with Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 along with physiotherapy for 3 weeks. After three weeks, histology section revealed fibro reticular tissue of osteoblastic type with high density osteoblasts and radiograph of post exposure view supported as normal humerus bone with no dissimilarity. The bullock eventually recovered with normal gait in a couple of weeks. Thus oral calcium when administered with Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12 along with bioavailability enhancers provided pronounced stimulatory effect on reparative osteogenesis.
