Tension Band Wiring and Pinning for the Management of Olecranon Fracture in a Dog

Abstract

A three year old male Labrador dog was presented with history of fracture of olecranon process following a fall from roof top. A medio-lateral radiograph of right elbow revealed avulsion fracture of olecranon. An open reduction and immobilization of the fracture was done by tension band wiring. A medio-lateral radiograph obtained after 6 weeks confirmed radiological union of fracture.
