Abstract

A Labrador pup with simple and complete fracture of femur and tibia was presented for treatment. The fracture sites were brought into close apposition and then immobilised by intramedullary pinning (internal fixation) along with modified Thomas splint in both the limbs. Initially the pup was kept inside the sling. After 22 days, thomas splint was removed and hot fomentation was continued till complete recovery.
