A five year old Mongrel male dog was presented for repair of compound tibial bone fracture. The repair was undertaken using two stainless steel K wires inserted through the bone cortices at right angle in proximal and two in the distal fragments in a straight with electric drill. The K-wires were connected with Asculap Clamps to external connecting rods and were fixed by tightening the bolts with spanner. Antibiotic injection and dressing with povidine iodine was done regularly. Dog started supporting with affected limb from 4th day, discharges were also reduced and weight bearing started from 11th day. After one month locomotion was quite good, the external fixator was removed after 45th postoperative day after satisfactory radiograph. There was uneventful recovery shown by dog.
