Diaphyseal tibial fractures are very common in dogs and would be presented in a variety of forms. Among all fracture repair modalities, plating is the most popular and effective technique for fracture management. This case was subjected to detailed orthopedic and radiographic examination and comprehensive study including lameness grade, functional outcome, radiographic evaluation and postoperative complications. The lameness grade was improved on immediate postoperative day in this case and the functional outcome was graded as excellent. Radiographic evaluation indicated primary healing in this case. Seroma formation and self mutilated wound was observed on postoperative period.
