Niney Holstein Friesian crossbred repeat breeding cows devoid of ovulatory disturbances and uterine infection were tentatively diagnosed for luteal insufficiency and randomly divided into seven experimental groups. Group T1, T2 and T3 received single dose (2.5ml) of Buserelin acetate on day 0, 5th and day 12th of the estrous cycle, respectively. Double injections on day 0 and 5th were given to group T4 and on day 0 and 12th to the group T5. The cows in group T6 received triple injections on 0, 5th and 12th day of cycle. Insemination was done at late estrus to all the 90 cows. Group T7 was inseminated without treatment. Highest conception rate was observed in group T6 (73.33%), confirming the efficacy of buserelin acetate when administered on 0, 5th and 12th day of estrus cycle for treatment of Luteal insufficiency induced repeat breeder syndrome.
