Eight bovines were presented with history of chronic anorexia, tympany and unresponsive to medicinal treatment besides positive for metals in their fore stomachs. The animals were subjected to rumenotomy under local infiltration analgesia revealing penetrating foreign bodies in five animals and non-penetrating foreign bodies in other three bovines. Out of five cases found positive for penetrating foreign bodies, diaphragmatic hernia was detected in three cases and was managed accordingly.
