Two rathi cows accidentally ingested urea and showed signs of toxicity. Spot inspections, history and symptoms confirmed urea poisoning and were treated with 5% Acetic acid, which dilutes the ruminal contents and reduces ammonia production by lowering ruminal pH. The animals were successfully treated for urea toxicity.
