Clinico-Therapeutic Management of Degnala Disease - A Study of 30 Buffaloes

Degnala disease was diagnosed in 30 buffaloes based on history and several clinical signs viz. gangrene on distal extremities (tarsus or carpus, tip of tail and ears) with wounds in coronary and fetlock area above the hoof. The animal were treated with Ivermectin along with oral supplementation penta salts of Copper, Ferrous, Cobalt, Zinc and Manganese sulphate, Tolfenamic acid and parentral vitamin supplements. The lesion were washed with potassium permagnate solution and dressed with nitroglycerine ointment. The animals recovered successfully.
